Pastry Chef Tanya Lemaire is the magical hand behind all the exquisite delicacies of the coveted bakery “Piece of Cake” in Haiti.
She naturally followed in the footsteps of her mother, the famously known Mme Lemaire, owner of “Foligourmand”. She early on discovers her innate skills for the pastry world ,and aligns work with passion by getting a culinary degree at the Sheridan Technical School of Florida; she will further perfect her craft at the prestigious Johnson and Wales University. She then chooses to come back to her roots to add her special modern touch to the family business . She revolutionizes their traditional Haitian cake by incorporating contemporary artistry and taste. After the earthquake destroys the family business, she boldly ventures alone, and became the proud owner of “Piece of Cake”. She recently expanded into the creation of the most stunning and lovely sweet tables, and has been transforming spaces with breathtaking design.
Tanya adds her own magic touch to everything she creates and delivers nothing less than pure art and delight for the eyes. Her cakes are renowned for their perfection, her inspiring décor are admired for the obvious touch of passion and she will work hard to make your event memorable.
On her time off she is “mommy” to two vibrant children and is passionately involved into improving the life of her community.
