Every year, one of the main goal most people set for themselves is to eat healthy, lose weight and exercise. Easier said then done right. I’m right here with ya!! I’ve been struggling myself to keep up with all three. I have a busy schedule which involves being a mom, a wife and handling a job.. Sometimes when i get home from work, the last thing i can honestly think about is working out. I get tired. I would take my gym clothes with me and say to myself ” you’re going straight to the gym after work”. ‘ll end up taking the direction to my house instead. At this point, i’m asking you all : Are you keeping up with your diet/exercise life. What do you do to make sure that you’re balancing life and working out? Here are some tips i have come up with that could be beneficial to you and to myself of course to stay on track with the diet/exercise resolution.

The best way to keep up with your daily exercise/diet routine is to make a vision board. The vision board is to help you remember what your resolution is and to stick to it. Second thing that i would suggest is to meal prep. Keeping healthy foods on hand makes sticking to your goals way easier. “If you have cut veggies, grilled protein, and pre-made grains in the fridge, you never have an excuse to cheat.”Another thing to do is to give yourself a schedule to work out according to your day. The more active you are, the more energized and empowered you’ll feel. “If you make other positive lifestyle choices such as working out, then general health and self-care becomes top of mind and you’re more likely to carry it over into all areas of your life, including what you eat.”

  1. I have been struggling with my weight for the past 2 years. I’ve gained, I’ve lost, and gain weight over due to lack of consistency. I’ve always been very busy with a full-time job and going to school full time, so it has always been hard for me to keep up with my diet and exercise. This year I’m choosing to start my diet one more time and my goal is to lose 40 pounds this year by being consistent with my healthy journey. I am also adding motivations to the journey to keep me focus. So far, I’ve decided to buy very cute activewear clothes to make me want to wear them to go to the gym. So I’m hoping to stay motivated and consistent during this journey so I could reach my goal. And I always remind myself that I CAN DO IT.

When I decided to loose weight last year, let’s say opting for an healthy lifestyle, I did not think it was going to be that hard but I will proudly say, since January of last year till today, I am 45 pounds down. This is what worked for me, every weekend I come up with a menu for the week. I prep meal every Sunday, I usually cook my meat for the week & my carbs, whatever it is. For My veggies I cook them every 2 to 3 days. Now, when it comes to exercise, I set my gym schedule for 5 am in the morning because I know I’m very busy with being a mom, a student, an employee and now a wife. I also put my clothes together the night before so I don’t have any excuse when I wake up in the morning. Im not big on vision board but I do have a month to month goal like I will loose 5 pound this month and I also do good journaling. That’s what has worked for me so far. It’s not easy but if you stay focus and find what works for your schedule, you can do it!

  3. Today after a Dr visite I decided not to wait anymore. Not to wait till Feb 1St to start exercise and I’m so glad that I choose today to do so. I went to the park and I walk for 30 mn I know that’s nothing but it’s a start. Tomorrow I’m going to whole food store to get my grocery. I want to be healthy to stop talking all these crazy med that the Dr giving me and I’m also looking for a natural Dr I have high blood pressure and I want to be able to control it without taking all these pills. So yes I’m in control of my body and I be damn if I let anything happen to me. By tomorrow I will make my vision board because by March 5 th I will be where I want to be. Be healthy again no more pills and down to my size 6.

  4. That was my goal this year too to loose my baby weight. 🙈I cheat sometimes and can’t keep up with my work out schedule. Jesus fix it please work and baby and house duties are taking over 😭😭

    • I feel the same way Jen. Sometimes it gets hard because we have to be a mom, a wife and everything else that comes with it. I’ll say take baby steps, you can do it

  5. I’m a workout fiend since I was 15. I am nothing without my gymn. The hardest for me is and always will be giving up bread and pastries. Lord, a sister needs those in her life. As I age away I’m learning the most important fact about a weight loss journey is balanced hormones. And no one teaches people about this. If your hormones are not balanced there is nothing at all anyone can do to lose weight.

  6. We all get discouraged easily specially working moms and going to school fullt time. My boost is I place a picture of my old self as a reminder that i dont want to be this size anymore in front of my bathroom door. Its a constant reminder that i can do it and to be stronger. I realized as well, beeing part of many exercise groups such as Kickboxing, Cycle etc.. have helped me alot with my cardio routine and you get to socialize and meet other folks…
